APPLE I-POD TOUCH5
I bought this item for my wife for Christmas and she Absolutely loves it, everyday it is something new with it. My wife is picky but she really seems to Love the I-Pod Touch 16 GB (1st Generation)

Favorite Possession!5
I can do everything on my iPhone! It is amazing. I can finally have my texting, calling, music, photos, facebook, internet, camera, games, and many more applications all on one device. 16 GB is plenty (I have my video iPod for my movies and tv shows which is great because I would rather not take up the space on my phone). The WiFi is awesome because it's all over the place, so I can always connect to the internet and I don't have to have phone service all the time. The only down side is that you can't be online for a long period of time or else you use alot of your battery.

Worth the money!

I needed a new music player and got so much more!5
I needed to replace my dead 30 gig ipod, so I first tried a 4g 8 gig nano. I ended up returning it because it wouldn't charge in any of my existing docks. Evidently apple changed the pin configuration or something- the ipod would play but would only charge via the usb port on my computer. Such a pain! Anyway, I found a smoking deal here on Amazon for the 16 gig 1st generation ipod touch. I basically needed a new ipod to play music, which is all I used the old one for. I was pleased with the larger screen and thought I might even watch a video or something on this new ipod. I was very happy with how easy it was to see details on the screen, and that I didn't need a microscope to see what was going on. I'm over 40 so I have to wear reading glasses to see most small print (another pain in the neck). Now that I've been using the new ipod for a couple of months, I find myself using this ipod differently than the old one. With this new ipod touch I download the free shows from itunes and watch them if the tv's at home are all hogged up with sports watching maniacs. I also like to download various podcasts and podcasts with video. The big screen is nice for displaying the album covers while I'm listening to music, and that new Genius feature is really cool. The other thing I love about this new ipod is the wi-fi that is built in and all the things that are included with that feature. I have it set to update my email every hour, so even if I'm in an area with no wi fi I can check my email and sort it out and dump the stuff I don't want. I occasionally use the internet browser that came with it and it seems easy to use. I have a wireless internet router at my home, and it was very easy to set up the ipod to use with the router. The password and unit number were right on the side of the router, so putting the info into the ipod was a piece of cake. I also am amazed at how easy it is to use the wifi when I'm out and about. If I try to go online the ipod will tell me if there are any networks around and if there is one I can use. I love that! There are tons of free apps to download (go to itunes, apps). I really like the flashlight app, and there are a couple of different ones that tell you the movie times which seem to work well. I've also downloaded some games which are fun to fiddle around with if I'm stuck waiting in a line and don't have my book, or if I'm waiting for somebody and don't want to be totally engrossed in reading while I'm waiting. Overall I give the new ipod touch a 9 out of 10. It's actually more of a ten, but I wanted to leave a little room for even more features that I haven't thought of yet.

Product Description

(not the iPhone) With the Apple iPod touch, Apple has married the iPhone's revolutionary multi-touch interface to their popular digital media player. So instead of a Click Wheel, you just use your fingers to flick through your music, photos, and video. Two fingers can be used in a pinching or spreading motion as well, which zooms in and out of photos and web pages. That's right, the iPod touch is the first iPod to offer web access. It does this via built-in Wi-Fi support. There's even a special iTunes Wi-Fi Store, so you can browse and purchase new music and video while you're on the road. The latest iPod touch now offers a suite of new applications, including email, maps, and handy widgets for weather, notes, and stocks. The new iPod touch also features a customizable home screen that lets you rearrange buttons and create your own Web Clips.
